This officially kicked off the series known as Trump Dollars. These can still be purchased today at the [Trump Dollar website](https://www.trumpdollar.us/?ref=norfed.info). He created the Trump Dollar primarily to advocate for world peace and a value-based monetary system, using the coin to highlight these ideals. He believes that an honest monetary system could be key to achieving global peace and aims to inspire a new peace initiative, drawing on the activism of the 1960s. The inclusion of "WORLD PEACE" on the coin's obverse serves as a call for peace. In an email to supporters, he wrote: "In my 70+ years, I can't remember soo much strife, hardship or war in the world. It seems that the whole world has gone mad without ever officially declaring war. It seems that war has grown to become our current American culture. The WORLD PEACE legend is featured on the obverse as a call, if not a command, for a Peace Initiative by President Trump if he is elected. Personally I find it detestable that my country is the largest arms dealer in the world and has more troops engaged in more active military actions (i.e. wars) in more countries than any other country. And the USA is not even officially at war?!" It has been reported in various media outlets that Bill LaMere at the North American Mint strikes these pieces. I inquired as to the difference between the BU and Proof dies, and he graciously wrote back. He explained that Proof dies are specially designed with a thicker rim and higher relief, creating the distinct proof aesthetic which are known for their exceptional appearance and flawless finish. The process aims to create a coin with enhanced details and a mirror-like background, setting proof examples apart from standard circulation or BU specie. The capacity constraints of the Mint (which is usually maxed out) can lead to variations in these features. The gold Trump Dollar (32mm, proof-like) is one troy ounce of .9999 gold. Silver Trump Dollars (39mm) in uncirculated and proof are one troy ounce of .999 silver.
