  13. National Office opens RCO in Evansville We're finally getting our RCO together! Ever since the National HQ office opened shortly before the currency was launched on October 1, 1998, I have wanted us to be open to the public. And as many of you know, just the fact that we weren't open to the public didn't stop a lot of dedicated people from finding us, anyway. But the visits were was always inconvenient, as the office was never designed to accommodate visitors. Now, we are going to have an office that not only works well to receive visitors, it will allow us to introduce the Liberty Dollar to Evansville. Our new location is very well-situated in the shopping area of Evansville. But better than that, it is located right next door to the largest upscale gun shop in Evansville, with the only indoor range for hand guns, rifles, and even machine guns (which they rent)! And next door to it, is Evansville's Indian Motorcycle distributor. The small stand-alone shopping center (please don't think of it as a 'strip mall') is ideally located and extremely easy to visit. Of course, the biggest plus to the new location is that it will allow us to develop and showcase the RCO model. It will be a "laboratory" where new marketing and advertising ideas are developed and tested.
  14. Grand Opening and RCO Congress Planed The best part of the new location will be our Grand Opening, RCO Congress and the fourth Liberty University (LibU4)! Now if you have ever wanted to visit the "National Headquarters," this is the time! Please join us for a good time as we celebrate our 6th Anniversary and open the new office. Activities will be begin with an ongoing "Meet and Greet" on Thursday, September 30th at Gurst, where we will "Gurst our Thirst" with local German sausage and dark beer (among many other goodies). The first RCO Congress will convene at 9:00 AM on October 1, the following morning. And although the Congress is not open to the public and limited to only one representative per RCO, it will be followed by an open banquet for everyone who arrives on Friday evening (plan ahead; there will be a fee for the

banquet.) A special keynote speaker is planned to cap off the day. The Grand Opening kicks off the next day, Saturday, October 2. Several presentations, demonstrations like the one by the Gallery Mint, who will actually mint a special commemorative for the event, special shooting promotions, motorcycle rides, a mini-fair of Liberty-minded materials, and beer and barbecue with live music are all in the works as we open our new National Headquarters. I can only hope you will join us for a tremendous celebration of our success and toast towards the future. A farewell picnic will be held on Sunday for those who are leaving. The three-day Liberty University (LibU4) will convene at 9:00 on Monday and conclude by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 6th. There you have it. One great time to celebrate one great organization of activists, who are actually returning America to value - one dollar at a time - while making a profit too! I sincerely hope, many of you will be able to come to the Grand Opening and all RCOs can come for the Congress. 3. Check the Schedule for the Annual National Tour The Annual National Tour kicks off on June 15th! Wow! It is that time of the year again… Actually it is starting much earlier than usual. This year's Annual National Tour has grown by an additional month and starts in less than a month and concludes with the Grand Opening for a four-month total! There are many high points along the way this year, as more and more people discover the Liberty Dollar due to your good continued efforts to spread the word. There are already events planned in Winston-Salem, Washington DC, New Hampshire, New York, Indiana, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Aspen. So if I can help you turbo charge your efforts, please contact the office via [email protected] and let her know what you have in mind. There is no fee involved in booking me on the Annual National Tour, if I can fit you into the schedule. To see the whole mind- blowing four-month schedule, please visit http://tjdavis.com/bernardscalendar/. Or simply click on CALENDAR on the Home Page at www.LibertyDollar.org. 4. New Brochure, Coin Purse, Liberty Bags Well, if you had taken a very close look at the new Liberty Dollar brochure, you would have noticed that it now sports our new address: 225 N. Stockwell Avenue. Everything else remains the same as it is just down the road from our current location. Thanks to John Franklin, RCO in Kansas City, we have a really nice coin purse for you to keep your Silver Libertys in. Called a snap purse, as it opens and closes with a snap, it is in "NORFED blue" and is imprinted with, "The Liberty Dollar - Returning America to value - one dollar at a time." The Coin Purse is easily opened with one hand and costs only $3 each. John has also created our first Liberty tote bags for lugging around all our money! Equally well-done and imprinted on natural canvas, it is only $6.00. As I have said so many times, the most rewarding part of the Liberty Dollar is not its success, but what everyone else does with the Liberty Dollar. So if you have an idea for a new product, go for it. If you need some assistance, call the office: 888.421.6181. 5. Puplava's Recent Article Thanks to the fine work of David Morgan, "The Silver Guru" and a Liberty Associate, Jim Puplava caught fire about the enormous potential of silver as an investment. His recent article "Illusions" is an outstanding research work with many charts and graphs. And even though this particular article does not hype silver's potential like Ted Butler, it does provide a wide basis as to why silver is headed to the moon. Too bad that Jim, like so many well intending Americans have yet to realize the Liberty Dollar's potential to peacefully return America to value - one dollar at a time. But then it was only three years ago that he didn't have anything good to say about silver, either. Like good food, good money takes time. First Survey is Underway Thank you for answering our call for volunteers to participate in the first Survey about the Liberty Dollar. It is now underway and represents our first step towards creating a marketing strategy. It is also

another big step for you to tell an independent party what you like and/or don't like about the Liberty Dollar. If you missed the Alert where called for volunteers, please send an email to [email protected] and if we need additional participants we will contact you. If you have already volunteered, there is no need to reply, as you will be contacted shortly. 7. "Tag Lines" and ALD Statement Need a few quick lines to describe the Liberty Dollar to someone? Well after almost six years, a few of the best tag lines have been gathered together and put into a paragraph below. The individual lines are also listed below. Please use these on your site, advertising, promotional copy, or presentations. They are quick, accurate, and very definitive of what the Liberty Dollar is. STATEMENT: The Liberty Dollar is "as beautiful as the ideals it represents". The new currency that is moral, legal, and Constitutional, is 100% backed & 100% redeemable in gold and silver. As such, it is an "inflation proof" currency that is already the second most popular currency in America. So if you want to make money, do good, and have fun, you are encouraged to get the Liberty Dollar at a discount & use it at a profit. It is distributed by NORFED - a national, nonprofit, educational organization and is available through a national network of thousands of Liberty Associates, Merchants and Regional Currency Offices (RCOs). Since 1998, The Liberty Dollar has provided a proven solution to the ills of fiat government money: Stop using "their" money, start using the Liberty Dollar, and return America to value - one dollar at a time. In five short years, over $5 million Liberty Dollars are in circulation with 100,000 people using the currency on a daily basis. Bernard's Law: "When the people own the money, they control the government. When the government owns the money, it controls the people." POPULAR TAGLINES: Moral, legal, and constitutional "As beautiful as the ideals it represents" 100% backed & 100% redeemable in gold and silver America's "inflation proof" currency since 1998 Second most popular currency in America Do you want to make money, do good, and have fun? Get it at a discount & use it at a profit Distributed by a national, nonprofit, educational organization Returning America to value - one dollar at a time The 4Ps of the ALD: Peaceful. Positive. Proactive. Prosperous. Bernard's Law: "When the people own the money, they control the government. When the government owns the money, it controls the people." 8. AARP Cancels the Liberty Dollar Well it has finally happened. You know you are growing up when you don't get what you want. As announced last month, we had intended to present the Liberty Dollar at the big AARP Annual Expo in Las Vegas this October. Unfortunately, I regret to inform you that we received a letter from Mr. Ernest E. Rosemond, the Manager for Strategic Alliances, who informed me that our "application to exhibit has been canceled as representing a service and/or product inconsistent with AARP's vision, mission and purpose for its event." Obviously, they don't know value. 9. Incident of the Month There were two incidents reported: The incident of the month occurred on Sunday, May 23, 2004 and was reported by Timothy Hodges. He titled it: Run in with a Washington State Trooper

I recently had the displeasure of offering the silver liberty for the fourth time to a WA state ferry cashier this weekend who promptly returned it to me saying "we don't take that money here". I said ok, and handed over $20 FRN and went to get in line for the ferry. I could hear one of the ferry workers' handheld radio that they were confirming to each other (the cashier and the ground crew) that I had indeed tried to pay with some "funny silver money." I had my window down, so I could hear them talking back and forth, and checking my license plates. Then I heard them say "report him to the police!" Great I thought, just what I need. But I remember what others had said in this situation, and I settled myself and waited to be harassed by the state. When the trooper approached, he asked if I had tried to pay with the Liberty Dollar. I said, "Yes I did" and then I handed one to him. He said, "You know this is not real money." I said, "I think you are mistaken, it absolutely is REAL money!" To which he responded, "you cannot offer this when someone asks for legal tender," I said, they did not ask for legal tender, nor would I ever try to misrepresent it as legal tender. It may not be legal tender money, but it most certainly is real money!" He responded, "well it is only worth its weight in silver and it is a form of barter, and you cannot barter with the WA State ferry." I said, "It is worth what I can get for it in commerce, and it always fetches either $10 or $0 dollars, and I have never used it for its weight, or any fraction of its stated face value." At this point I pulled out a brochure and handed it to him. He said "don't bother, I know what it is, but they want me to do a report... I am not sure what for or what they are going to do with it, but anyway, I will file a report." So he took my license number. At that, he left. Not that I enjoy having this type of discussion with a gun toting state trooper, but it is interesting, that there really is nothing they can do if you represent the ALD for what it is, and never for what it isn't. It is also interesting that he tried to foul me up with his statements and tried to lead me into admitting that I had offered this when the cashier asked for legal tender. In my entire life, I can't think of one time someone asked me to pay in legal tender. As a matter of fact, 90% of the time, they just ask for a number! Uh, that'll be 10.41, 10.41 what? No one even asks for Dollars! [Editor note] My compliments to Tim for his cool, well reasoned response. As the public becomes aware of the Liberty Dollar, it is natural to run into resistance. After all, denial is the first step in eventual acceptance. Thank you Tim for the fine job of reporting the incident. As always, please report any Incident with the police or any government official to the NORFED office so we can judge the resistance and help deal with it in a peaceful way. 10. Question of the Month QUESTION: For new Liberty Associates, who receive $20.00 in digital Liberty Dollar as part of their initial order and want to redeem it for 2 Silver Libertys, is there a way they can do this without the $0.37 fee? ANSWER: As there is no way to remove this fee for such a single purpose, NORFED is now putting $20.37 into all initial accounts so that new Associates can get two Silver Libertys easily if they so wish. 11. Liberty Associate of the Month When any national figure breaks out of the mold and goes where most never lead, is an example of a real leader. Such is the case of this Liberty Associate of the Month. Month after month, this leader tells it like it is with amazing insights and total dedication to the truth, while never wavering from bringing the Liberty Dollar to his reader's attention. Who is this brave newsletter editor who champions the potential of silver? It would be none other than "The Silver Guru", David Morgan. Almost from the

moment that he heard about the Liberty Dollar, David has been a big supporter. Opening doors to his reader's attentions, he has been a steady positive force to return our great country to value… especially the value of silver. David wrote the chapter, "Silver - The Sleeping Opportunity", in the Liberty Dollar SOLUTION book. He also writes a great monthly newsletter, Silver Investor. If you are not familiar with it, please check it out and subscribe! Get first hand info from one of our own at http://www.silver- investor.com/. 12. Quote of the Month "Obstacles are what a man sees when he takes his eyes off the goal." Henry Ford Closing Remarks: With every passing year more Doubting Thomases are coming around to accepting the fact that we can have a value-backed currency if we simply start using it. If you are still on the fence, then ask yourself, what will it take for you to join the party? Please call NORFED or your local RCO and get your questions answered. Then join the party. It is truly fun to use the new gold and silver currency! A special thanks to all the Liberty Associates, Merchants, and RCOs for your continued support. For it is only by banding together and adopting a free and independent currency which provides us with "just weights and measures" that we will be able to throw off the yoke of a manipulated monetary system and generate a peaceful and prosperous society. Thank you again for all your efforts to return America to value - one dollar at a time! Bernard von NotHaus Monetary Architect/Editor www.LibertyDollar.org 888.421.6181
