Bud's Gun Shop Gun Dollars
Bud's Gun Shop released a series of gold, silver, and copper specie aptly named Second Amendment Dollars and commonly referred to as Gun Dollars. While not directly linked to the Liberty Dollar, the obverse design was licensed to Silver Liberty Marketing which is why you see the initials SLM on the obverse/reverse with placement varying by the year and metal type.
Produced between 2009 and 2014, some Second Amendment Dollars were hallmarked or numbered. The $500 gold piece has 1/4 ozt of .9999 gold; $20 and $50 silver pieces have 1 ozt of .999 silver; the $25 silver piece has 1/2 oz of .999 silver; and the copper pieces each have 1 avoirdupois (ADVP) oz of copper. A troy ounce (480 grains or 31.103 grams) is heavier than an avoirdupois ounce (437.5 grains or 28.35 grams).
These were sold on the Bud's Gun Shop website and as of this writing, some variations are still available, including the 2017 Limited Issue Gun Dollar Sets, which were limited to 100.
